International Robotics Competition AESSBot’13
AESSBot is the International Robotics Competition organized annually by AESS Estudiants in order to bring together the best competition robots designers.
The contest was founded in 1995 with a single category (Sumo) based on the Japanese robotics competitions. Year after year it became more popular including new categories-as trackers and sprinters-and increasing the number of viewers, which made holding the event to move to larger spaces coming to participate in 2012 in the Barcelona Comic Fair, event which had more than 100,000 spectators.
Currently working on the 2013 edition to be held within the Barcelona Developers Conference where we want to surprise with many new features, especially in the latter category created, the AESSChallenge 24h, which was a great success at its premiere at last year’s contest.
AESS Challenge 24h
The statement is given to the teams with a basic kit and a plastic limit for the 3D printer to develop the 24h challenge.
This Kit serves to develop the basic objective of the test, however, in the statement, there are other optional objectives given. The intention is to help each team follow a different strategy according to their abilities.
To be able to develop, additional materials are needed besides the basic kit, to achieve that material; the teams will have to trade points for items in the “store”.
